PPM Version 6.21

Tonight is probably my favorite lineup we’ll have all summer for Pizza, Pitcher, and a Movie night.  Check this out:

6pm- Heavyweights: Perhaps Ben Stiller’s greatest role

8pm- SPACE JAM: Michael Jordan, Bill Murray, and Mugsy Bogues?!?! What a star studded cast

10pm- Dodgeball: Perhaps Ben Stiller’s second greatest role

I unfortunately won’t be there because I will soon be on my way to Alaska, so you have to get out there and tell me how awesome this was.  Now go, you only got an hour to get there!

New Shows by the Boatload

There have been a ton of new shows confirmed for the coming months here at the Canopy, so if you haven’t checked out the website lately I suggest you do so.  Sevendust, two nights with Umphrey’s McGee, and a host of tribute bands are all set to take the stage in the coming months.  If I were you, I’d make sure to check out Who’s Bad: A Tribute to Michael Jackson in the fall.  It’s spot on.

If you can’t wait to get out to the club for these upcoming shows, then you should make it out for a couple of fun ones this weekend.  Tonight at 9pm, Emberic will be taking the stage with a host of opening bands as well.  Cover is only $6 for the show.  Saturday night is sure to be fun as World’s First Flying Machine will be playing alongside Flotation Walls, Jared Bartman and Good Night & Good Morning.  That shows starts at 9pm as well and cover is only $7.  They should both be delightful.

Pizzas! Pitchers! Movies!

Tonight is the second Pizza, Pitcher, and a Movie of the summer.  Come out for a great trio of animated movies tonight.  Here’s the lineup: 6pm: Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story  8pm: The Simpsons Movie  10pm: South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut

As always, it’s only gonna cost you $10 for a large pizza and a pitcher of beer.  See ya out there!

An Elevator’s Not a Vehicle!

It is according to one of the questions at Trivia Diner Tuesday night, but besides that one beef I had it was a ton of fun.  I would make sure to head out there next Tuesday night at 7 if I were you.

We’ve got a great couple nights of great local shows lined up for the weekend here at the club.  Things start out tonight with the Charles Lane Quintet at 9pm.  Friday night brings back The Third Flight at 9pm.  Collusion will be opening up that show.  Tickets are only $7 for each show so make sure to get out there!

Back in the Swing of Things

Hey all, it took me a while but I’m finally back in the swing of things with this blog.  This means check back often as I’ll be updating you more on shows, specials, and artists playing the club.

What a great way to start this blog back up by announcing the return of Fishing With Dynamite’s Trivia Diner every Tuesday night at 7 before the Piano Man.  There are always great prizes to be won and the same great drink specials you’re used to at the Piano Man.  I know I’ll be there.  And don’t forget about our dance party getdown every Wednesday night.  Physical Challenge will be taking place every Wednesday starting at 10pm and DJ Belly will be providing the tunes.

One more great weekly get together you should mark on your calendars is the return of Pizza, Pitcher, and a Movie every Sunday night.  Starting at 6pm, we’ll be showing three amazing  movies every night.  Why do I know they’re amazing?  Because I picked most of em!  So come out and enjoy a large pizza and pitcher of Bud or Bud Light for only $10!
